In 1971, Hangzhou Guangxing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was named Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine
In 1979, the hospital moved to its current location, and a 5,198 square meter ward building was completed with 200 beds. The First Outpatient Department of Hangzhou was merged into Hangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine
In 1982, the Hangzhou Municipal Health Bureau Committee of the Communist Party of China agreed to establish the General Branch Committee of the Hangzhou Municipal Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the Communist Party of China
In 1985, Hangzhou Municipal Government awarded the hospital the title of "Civilized Unit"
In 1986, leaders of Hangzhou Municipal Commission for Economic Reform, Municipal Planning Commission, Municipal Personnel Bureau, Municipal Labor Bureau, Municipal Finance and Taxation Bureau, Municipal Health Bureau and other leaders conducted extensive investigations and on-site office work in the hospital, and reported to the municipal government for approval.
