The department of Pediatrics was founded in 1979. It is a department with strong strength of integrated Traditional Chinese and Western medicine in Zhejiang Province. There are 25 medical staff, including 7 chief physicians, 3 deputy chief physicians and 5 chief nurses. There are outpatient, emergency and ward. Eight projects have won provincial and municipal awards. In recent years, he has published more than 100 papers. As a pediatric national TCM clinical trial institution, it has completed 5 phase II and III drug clinical trials. It has 30 fixed beds and more than 1000 discharged patients per year. The department adheres to the treatment path of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, gives full play to the characteristics and advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of pediatric common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases, and has achieved good results. Especially in respiratory tract infection, asthma, allergic diseases, kidney diseases and other aspects, and has a homemade preparation rekeqing retention enema treatment of children with high fever and other sudden special traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods, good efficacy, quick effect, avoid repeated oral antipyretics side effects, to overcome the problem of poor taste and poor compliance of Traditional Chinese medicine. In recent years, with the increasing incidence of allergic diseases, more and more families are troubled by diseases such as asthma and rhinitis. The specialty is equipped with children's lung function instrument, atomized inhalation therapy instrument, allergen skin acupuncture, blood allergen measurement, sublingual administration, subcutaneous injection desensitization treatment, and equipped with full-time nurses to guide the technology of drug inhalation, health education. We have developed a number of traditional Chinese medicine preparations such as Rekeqing, antiasthmatic cough syrup and immunomodulatory soup. Desensitization treatment was carried out in the late 1990s, one of the units that opened desensitization treatment earlier in Hangzhou.

The department is the first unit to carry out pediatric kidney puncture examination in hangzhou municipal hospitals, relying on the advanced experimental detection platform of the national level 3 laboratory (nephropathy laboratory) of our hospital, and has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of nephropathy. In the early stage of hormone treatment, the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine can nourish Yin and reduce fire, relieve Yin deficiency and fire caused by hormone.
