The department has a total of 75 medical staff, including 4 chief anesthesiologists, 6 deputy chief anesthesiologists, 11 attending physicians, 9 residents, and 13 master's degree holders.

The department is responsible for clinical anesthesia, perioperative resuscitation and outpatient pain treatment for patients in emergency and elective operations in all departments of the hospital. Each year, more than 10,000 cases of anesthesia are performed in thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, stomatology, ophthalmology, urology, gynecology and obstetrics. And can independently complete open heart surgery under extracorporeal circulation; To carry out painless abortion, painless gastroenteroscopy, painless tracheoscopy and DSA room interventional surgical anesthesia. The department is the base of anesthesia regulation and training in Zhejiang Province, and undertakes the clinical teaching work for students of Traditional Chinese and Western medicine in Zhejiang Province. It is an alliance of regulation and training with the Tumor Hospital affiliated to university of Chinese Academy of Sciences. The department has established a medical exchange platform with the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University and other anesthesiology departments. The department has held provincial and municipal continuing education classes for many years. In recent years, it has undertaken 5 provincial scientific research projects, more than 10 departmental and bureau level scientific research projects, and carried out more than 20 new technology and new projects.
